Below is the text of the actual Petition For Full Equality For All Americans

If you could please help in this grassroots campaign to win full rights from the federal level for all Americans, including Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgendered citizens, then please print out, copy, sign and share the petition. If you email me, I can give you an address or time and place to get the signed petitions to me. And, please remember, to keep it all legal and above board, we need the name, city, state and zipcode as well as signature of each person signing it.

Petition For Full Equality for All Americans

Dear Mr President, Leaders in the Senate and in Congress;

We, the undersigned, wish to call your attention and commitment to correcting an injustice that has too long been in effect. We have heard that this nation of ours is one America not two but those of us in the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgendered community know and experience otherwise. The Declaration of Independence says, “We hold these Truths to be self-evident, that all Men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness,” but too many laws and provisions state otherwise.
We thank you for the very important act of making it illegal to keep people from their loved ones when in the hospital. This corrects a heartless disparity that has left too many of us to spend our last hours alive all alone in a hospital room. This vital order has corrected one of the most important of the 1,038 federal rights that are not allowed to same gender couples in this country of ours.

I am confident you truly believe in the Declaration of Independence and the words of our founding fathers, but why are one in every ten Americans subjected to second-class citizenship when it comes to basic rights and responsibilities? I'm certain you hold dear your vow to uphold the laws of this land and stand for the rights of all Americans, why in this day and age are one in every ten Americans restricted in marriage, serving in the military, healthcare, the workplace and immigration?

We struggle from city to city, state to state and watch our fellow LGBT family members, friends, co-workers and neighbors keep being pushed to the back of the bus when it comes to our rights as promised in the Constitution and yet personal beliefs instead of what is right lead the conversations and actions from the White House, the Senate and Congress. Please, we petition you now to correct too many years of second class citizenship and make all of us equal.

We, the undersigned call upon you now to use an executive order to reintroduce a bill similar to the Equality Act (H.R. 14752) of 1974 or an omnibus bill to include sexual orientation and gender identification into the Civil Rights Act of 1964 for full equality from the federal level for all Americans. We call upon you to do this now, today; not a year from now; not after yet another study is done; not after continuation of the years of debate while our rights continue to be infringed and our lives continue to be made less than all other Americans.
